Description Cair Cuvée is a vibrant, fresh, and immediately approachable Tempranillo from Bodegas Dominio de Cair, drawing fruit from high-altitude vineyards in the prestigious Ribera del Duero and vinified to balance intensity with elegance. Bursting on the nose with ripe red berries, cherry, and hints of vanilla and spice. The palate is juicy and silky, with soft tannins and a gentle oak presence that adds depth without weight. Ten months in used oak barrels has added complexity while keeping the fruit lively and expressive. An ideal companion for mild to medium cheeses, mushroom dishes, and anything with soft herbs and light spice. Bodegas Dominio de Cair is a project of the Luis Cañas family, based in the small town of La Aguilera within the Ribera del Duero. The estate sits at nearly 900 metres above sea level, where the vineyards blend into surrounding forests and each plot rarely exceeds half a hectare. The average vine age across the estate is 45 years, with some between 50 and 100 years old, contributing depth and character that younger vines simply cannot replicate. Fruit for the Cuvée is drawn from two locations, La Aguilera at 820 to 850 metres and Moradillo de Roa at 960 metres, where the altitude and distinct microclimates slow ripening and build concentration and complexity naturally. Grapes are hand-harvested into small boxes and rigorously sorted before temperature-controlled fermentation in stainless steel. 14% / 75cl
