Description Antídoto is an elegant, terroir-driven Tempranillo from the eastern edge of Ribera del Duero, built on finesse rather than power and immediately distinct from the richer, more conventional end of the appellation. Aromatic and precise on the nose, with red cherry, wild strawberry, and cranberry alongside dried herbs, crushed rock, star anise, and a whisper of rose petal. Subtle cedar, clove, and cocoa dust underscore the fruit without dominating. The palate is vibrant and silky, with juicy raspberry and pomegranate, accents of sandalwood, pepper, and wet stone, and a cool-climate freshness and tension that runs through to a long, linear, mineral-driven finish. A natural companion for red meats in rich sauce, grilled vegetables, or mushroom stews. Bodegas Antídoto was founded in 2010 in Soria by French vigneron Bertrand Sourdais and Spanish agronomist David Hernando, with an ambition to revive the region’s pre-phylloxera vineyards and produce wines with a genuine sense of place. The name reflects their spirit of rebellion against the mass-market styles that have come to define much of Ribera del Duero. Fruit is drawn from 332 individual plots across the villages of Soria, with vines aged between 30 and 80 years planted at 900 to 1000 metres on a diverse mix of sandy, stony, silt, clay, and calcareous soils. Fermented spontaneously in stainless steel with temperature control, the wine completes malolactic fermentation in tank, preserving the freshness and mineral precision that defines it. 14% / 75cl
