It has 12 holes, 3 complete octaves, and is great for beginners. The Hohner CX-12 chromatic harmonica is easier to bend notes on, and facilitates some extended techniques with less trouble than other harmonicas. The C Tenor version of the Hohner CX 12 is tuned 1 octave lower than a standard model making the low C blow note the same as on any 16 hole harmonica. It is available in the keys of Tenor C, D, Eb, E, F, G, A, Bb, B & C. Replacement reed plates are available.
