1693 Vincenzo Rugeri

$66.67 $126.67
DescriptionVincenzo Rugeri was a Cremonese Luthier born in 1663. Vincenzos first taste of violin making was an apprenticeship under his father, Francesco Rugeri, where he and his two older brothers assisted in the shop. In 1690, he left the family shop, and relocated to the heart of Cremona, where he opened his own shop. Despite all three sons of Francesco being very capable in their fathers shop, only Vincenzo had individual success, and further developed the Rugeri style of making.Vincenzo’s style of making lived on through prominent Cremonese maker, Carlo Bergonzi.
